1290 WMCS
 1290 WMCS AM member of the Milwaukee Radio Alliance, LLC has an opening for a part-time Control Room Board Operator.  Hours are 2pm to 6pm, Monday thru Friday.

Duties include answering telephones during talk show(s); operating in-studio computer (word function and broadcast specific programs); guests' accomodations; introducing traffic reports; assisting with show prep; commerical log maintenance during show(s).

Candidate must possess basic internet information  retrieval ability and an aptitude for computers as many of the functions require computer usage.  The candidate should also have excellent oral communication skills.

1290 WMCSWANTED: 1290 WMCS INTERNS!
If you are a hard worker, have an outgoing personality, and highly motivated, then you could be the next intern at 1290 WMCS. 1290 interns dedicate a majority of their time to the promotions department, setting up for and executing live events, preparing on-air giveaways and press releases.

 
Working with broadcast professionals provides and opportunity for the intern to develop organizational skills.  Interns gain experience in other key areas of broadcasting by shadowing on air personalities and learning production techniques.
 
Assiting in the Sales department provides a unique invalueable opportunity to learn marketing and promotion during an internship.
 
Interns must be at least 18 years of age and willing to dedicate at least 10 - 15 hours per week to station activities. Interns are expected to be with the station for at least three months, but can continue the internship beyond that period. Internships can be taken for credit through school, but are not a requirement, and will adhere to the guidelines of their schools internship program. The internship is meant to find out if radio is right for you and to get experience for your career in broadcasting.
